  • I not think they have, I think it has to do with licenses, MIX IN KEY are the owner/inventor of the Camelot wheel.
Maybe little same like apple like to have their own solutions, Pioneer not like to use Camelot Wheel…

Under Preferences, in the analysis tab, there is an option to switch OFF (remove check mark) the option to “allow key analysis on import”.

Default RB will do key analysis when you import tracks. And RB will not analyse in Camelot format.
And that means you end up with regular key info in the key column of RB. As far as I know it won’t automatically “translate” regular key to camelot and there is no option to pick what key format you want to display. It will just read what’s in the key column and display that. And if you let RB do the analysis, as said, it will write regular key notation to that column.

So to get the desired result in RB, you want to switch of the key analysis on import. Now RB will just read what is in the key tag, which would be Camelot in your case and it will show it as such.

    Hope that helps some.

Load tracks from your computer into rekordbox for analysis and create a Collection. That will give you the waveform, beats, tempo (BPM), key, phrase, and other useful information for your DJ performance. It helps you to create a high-level DJ performance when you use Pioneer DJ products and the DJ application feature. I've just recently bought a DDJ-400 with a Rekordbox license; started to use it and wanted to analyze all my tracks, and it doesn't work. Whenever I check all the tracks (about 4.5K) and choose to analyze, it pretends to analyze just 5 of them and then stops (in actuality it analyzes none of them).

Pioneer Rekordbox

It’s important to make sure that your Mixed In Key results show up in Rekordbox correctly. It’s not always obvious if you’re seeing Pioneer’s built-in results, or the premium Mixed In Key results. This tutorial will make sure that you get the right results.

This is how Mixed In Key results should look inside Rekordbox:

To make sure you’re seeing them, right-click on the column names in your Rekordbox, and show the “Comments” column:

Why can’t Cue Points be saved into Rekordbox?

Sad story. We tried everything possible to give you this feature for free, but Pioneer told us they aren’t interested. We even made an Online Petition and 21,000 professional DJs have signed it:

How To Analyze Tracks Rekordbox

We presented this petition to Pioneer, but so far, this hasn’t helped. Rekordbox — unlike Serato or Traktor — remains a closed system. We regret this very much, because it is our strong belief that this feature would add great value to both Mixed In Key *and* Rekordbox. Although we remain eager to implement this ability, at the moment it’s beyond our control.

If Pioneer says YES, you would get these benefits for free because they are already part of Mixed In Key:

  • 8 accurate cue points, automatically detected inside each track
  • You can edit them yourself, and it’s super quick because they snap to the beatgrid. You can create your own Cue Points in seconds
  • The new Cue Curve, which shows you the best places to set cue points. It’s a great visual guide to setting cue points at the right location, so you can trust your results

We’re ready for Pioneer to say YES. We have a tremendous level of respect for the Pioneer team, and we want to collaborate with them.

If given the opportunity, we’d love to save your Cue Points to Rekordbox just like we do with Key and Energy.
